In the a futuristic world called Panem , teens fight in a kill or be killed game to be only one alive. Without reading any of the books, I didn’t know anything about it but I enjoyed it and had some issues too. The cast work with the film and do a very good job. The idea would never happen but it’s a movie so it is not meant to be taken seriously. Jennifer Lawrence does a phenomenal job playing the lead role as Katnis Everdean. She’s very smart and knows what to do when things hit the fan. The only problem that made the film jarring is when the game is about to begin it’s hard to see what’s going on because the camera is shaking everywhere. The director might have done that to keep the rating or for other reason unknown. It’s a good film and a great way to start a trilogy. Verdict: 6.9
